NICK BISHOP

This page is in remembrance of Nick Bishop. Anyone wishing to add anything to this page please forward to me by post or email [colin.pegram@ntlworld.com ] and I will gladly post it onto the website for you.

When I joined the Mojacar Motorcycle Touring Club about 2002 I was introduced to Andy Bishop by my now best friend Colin Purches. I and Andy hit it off very well as he likes to joke around and so do I, however he and his friend Maurice Jones said to me one day [when we were all out camping for a weekend somewhere] just wait till you meet Nick - you won't get the better of him and that's for sure. Well the time came and we met on a trip to Spain I think it was. Well they were right - Nick and I got on well together from the off and it wasn't long before we were fooling around and pulling stunts on each other as Andy and I did. But not once did I ever get the better of Nick - boy was he good, too good for me, with Andy I had half a chance but with Nick not a chance - but it was damned good fun trying and a good friend he turned out to be too. We had lots in common as we found out when we did finally get serious and had a long talk. He was a lorry driver = so am I, he was interested in wildlife = so am I, he was also interested in birdlife = so am I, so if we were on the same weekend away or Touring abroad we often when out and about walked together as did my wife with his wife Angie and in the evenings we would often sit together at meal time. So you see what I am saying like so many of the Mojacar Club members will be I will miss Nick Bishop very much. Myself and my wife Jan would like to give our deepest sympathies to all members of Nick's family.

Nick you were one of the best

REST IN PEACE
